Foundation

The Foundation was launched in 2002 and since that time, the purpose and direction of the Foundation has matured and clarified, ensuring that the purely philanthropic nature of the Foundation is well known.

The Foundation’s aim is to provide financial support to the College, so that student diversity – socio-economic, demographic – is enhanced, and that families in crisis are supported. We have made it clear that the Foundation is not about ‘bricks and mortar’ nor improved, specialist academic, sporting or cultural equipment.

Our hope is that we can grow the corpus of funds, so that by our centenary in 2018, the earnings may allow significant support of the Bursary Program. The Foundation commenced supporting the Bursary Program in 2015. The natural corollary of Foundation success will be our ability to keep the general fee level at St Kevin’s within the reach of many Melbourne Catholic families.

Functions held annually to raise funds and promote the Foundation include the Dinner at the Australian Club, Music Soirée, Annual Business Breakfast and our final event annually alternates each year between a Past Parents’ function and a function for multiple generation families. Foundation fixtures, including pre-game lunches, are held for Old Collegian AFL and Soccer Clubs. For details of upcoming Foundation functions please check the College calendar on the website.

In recent months, the College has received a number of bequests and generous gifts to the Foundation. Please consider supporting our work by becoming Foundation members. Membership of the Foundation ensures St Kevin’s continues to foster links with past and current students and families with a special eye on the future of St Kevin’s, and our remaining true to our origins, charism and history.

Foundation Annual Dinner 2018

The St Kevin’s College Foundation Annual Dinner will be held at Carousel, 22 Aughtie Drive, Albert Park on Tuesday 27 March. Please click here to view the invitation with more details and information about the Raffle Prizes.

The sole purpose of the Foundation is to provide funds for bursaries and scholarships to those who would not normally have the chance of a St Kevin’s College education. The Foundation looks forward to seeing as many as possible from the broad St Kevin’s community.

The Foundation’s aim is to provide financial support to the College, so that student diversity – socio-economic, demographic – is enhanced, and that families in need of assistance in order to attend the College are supported. As the Headmaster has stated on many occasions, the Foundation is not about ‘bricks and mortar’ nor improved, specialist academic, sporting or cultural equipment. Funds raised and Memberships monies are to assist families who may not have the capacity to send their son to St Kevin’s.
