Teaching Positions

Piano Teacher/Accompanist - Full time, ongoing position

St Kevin’s College is a leading Catholic School in the Edmund Rice tradition.  We cater for boys from ELC to Year 12 with a current enrolment of 2100 students.  The College is a member of the Associated Public Schools of Victoria (APS). 

 St Kevin’s invites applications for the position of Piano Teacher/Accompanist to commence in 2019.  The successful applicant will:

  • Hold a music education or tertiary music degree
  • Be an exceptional teacher, familiar with the AMEB and VCE syllabi
  • Have excellent skills in instrumental and choral accompanying
  • Have a dynamic and approachable manner with the ability to relate well to students from beginner to VCE
  • Be available for rehearsals and performances outside of school hours
  • Be able to work effectively within a team of other instrumental teachers
  • Have proven organisation skills, including appropriate record keeping and assessment
  • Hold VIT registration or a current Working with Children Check
  • Support the Catholic ethos of the College

 Co-curricular involvement is expected for secondary academic staff.  Salaries and conditions are particular to St Kevin’s.

School Counsellor/Psychologist - 0.600 FTE ongoing position 

To commence as soon as possible

St Kevin’s College is a leading Catholic School in the Edmund Rice tradition.  We cater for boys from ELC to Year 12 with a current enrolment of 2100 students.  The College is a member of the Associated Public Schools of Victoria (APS).

St Kevin’s College seeks an experienced, qualified Psychologist to provide counselling and wellbeing services to students across the College.  This is a 0.600 FTE (3 days per week) ongoing position to commence as soon as possible. Applicants would be required to have membership of Australian Psychological Society.  VIT registration would be an advantage.

Co-curricular involvement is expected for secondary academic staff.  Salaries and conditions are particular to St Kevin’s.
