Foundation

St Kevin’s proudly educates young men from over 140 postcodes, including those from Indigenous communities and migrant families new to Australia. We believe the presence of students from a diverse range of backgrounds plays a crucial role in the development of all students during their school years and into their future careers.

Our Purpose

The Foundation aims to:

  • Raise funds for the College Edmund Rice Bursary Program, so that young men from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds are provided the opportunity to attend St Kevin’s College and that families needing financial support may be assisted.
  • Foster a thriving and collaborative network, enabling Old Boys, present students, parents and friends to remain connected with the College.
  • Create an active forum of functions and events to enhance the understanding of the St Kevin’s College ethos and provide the opportunity for the school community, past and present, to give back.

It is not about ‘bricks and mortar’ nor improved, specialist academic or sporting equipment, but rather to ensure inclusivity by assisting families in need.

Help us reach our goal – we are half way there!

The Foundation operates on a purely philanthropic basis.  Funds are generously donated by Old Collegians, past and present parents, and friends of the College.  Our hope is to grow the corpus of funds so that the earnings cover the full cost of bursaries without the need to put pressure on tuition fees or draw from other sources.

Our goal is to welcome 75 new members and raise a total of $6 million by December 2020, enabling the Foundation to support 10% of students at St Kevin’s.  In July 2017 we reached the half way mark!

To become a Member, individuals are required to make a donation of $5,000 or more. Donors who provide a gift of less than $5,000 will become a Friend of the Foundation.

We also welcome assistance from people within the St Kevin’s College network who are willing to contribute in other ways such as donating their time or talent.
