At St Kevin’s College, we believe that every young man deserves the opportunity to thrive through a values-based, holistic education – an education that empowers not just individuals, but entire communities.
The purpose of the St Kevin’s College Foundation is to open doors to young men whose circumstances are such that this values-based, holistic education would otherwise not be available to them and where the student displays the ability to contribute to the life of the College.
Your generosity can transform lives. Our means tested and merit-based Scholarship program enriches the student body and the experience and development of all St Kevin’s community members.
Help give a boy a life-changing opportunity at St Kevin's through the registered charity, the St Kevin’s Foundation.
Donations over $2 are tax deductible.

‘My family fled Europe as refugees during the 1956 Hungarian uprising. St Kevin’s College offered me a bursary– an education my family could only have dreamt of. I knew next to no English and had not heard of cricket or AFL but was made welcome. In two years, I was Captain of Boats, won the English prize and was a Senior Debater. I won both a Newman and Commonwealth Scholarship to Melbourne University to study medicine and later travelled to Stanford University to complete psychiatry. I became a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserves, Chief of Staff at several veterans’ hospitals, Professor of Psychiatry, a pioneer of the effects of PTSD and a member on President Clinton’s military mental health committee. I reflect on St Kevin’s College often, and the exceptional Catholic values it instilled in me. My bursary opened a glorious set of serendipitous opportunities for which I am eternally grateful and hope I have lived my life in the image of an ideal Kevinian.’
'When I took a tour of St Kevin's just before starting in year 9, I saw the photos of the sporting legends and leaders of the school. Seeing among them some boys of my heritage and background put a fire in me to try to do this too. I felt so lucky to have special teachers and coaches that cared about me, not just how I did at school – but what I would go onto become. I still talk to them regularly and get guidance and mentorship in my life and career. I wish every boy could have the opportunities I had at St Kevin's.'
‘Being the beneficiary of a bursary/scholarship in 1989 and 1990 allowed me to attend St Kevin’s for the final two years of secondary school. It was transformative for my education, and everything I have undertaken since. It was a special place, the environment created by the wonderful, dedicated teachers, especially the late Karen Graham, the students and families; allowed all to develop their strengths and passions. The school community taught me respect and empathy, plus striving for excellence and the importance of service. My time at St Kevin’s provided the foundation for all the opportunities I have subsequently enjoyed, as well as lifelong friendships and memories.’

The St Kevin’s Foundation is grateful for several generous bequeaths some from alumni and their families, and others from people who have found a connection in our community. For example, Leon Hugo Landucci (1923-2018) who was a successful hairdresser and in his later years he owned a vineyard in Red Hill. Leon did not attend St Kevin's College but was impressed with the school and its graduates. Leon had a strong passion for music and education and through his connections with St Kevin’s College saw the opportunity to ensure his legacy lived on by providing a scholarship for someone who might not be able to access a private school education.
2002 – The St Kevin’s College Foundation was established.
2015 – The decision was made by the Headmaster and the Foundation’s Board of Management, that all funds raised by the Foundation would go exclusively towards the school’s Bursary Program.
2020 – Formal, annual distributions from the Foundation, initially in response to the hardship that families felt due to the pandemic, commenced. The Foundation has now distributed approximately $1m to the College.
2024 – The Foundation corpus reaches $10m.
The Future – Our aim is to continue to grow the corpus of the Foundation while also continuing to grow our annual distributions to the College to the point that the Foundation funds the scholarship programme of the College.
